Have you been charged with an offense and asked to complete a drug and alcohol assessment by a court? Maybe your physician, a family member, or even you are concerned about your use of a street drug or prescription medication. Either way, New Directions can help. We offer a drug and alcohol evaluation service for the following circumstances:
A DUI / DWI arrest or charge where the driver was charged with impairment from drug use
Drug possession or paraphernalia charges, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, domestic violence, trespassing, and other court-related charges where drug use is suspected to have played a role
A request by a physician who is concerned about abuse of street drugs or prescription medication
When you or your family members are concerned about your use of drugs and/or alcohol and want to determine whether treatment is necessary
Completing a drug and alcohol assessment for court or any other reason doesn’t have to be inconvenient. New Directions has helped thousands of clients obtain the evaluations they need over the last 12+ years. Now, our qualified professionals can help you, too. Getting started is simple—here’s how it works.
Register for a secure account online, call us at 1-800-671-8589, or register at one of our kiosk locations
Complete the initial questionnaire online
Complete a 45- to 55-minute interview with one of our professional evaluators via phone or online video call
Forward any supporting documents (such as drug test results) to your evaluator
Receive your report by email to review and approve before forwarding or releasing it to authorities (typically within five business days—rush service available)
*Note: While reviewing your case, we may determine that completing a drug test with a lab may help you. You can find walk-in services near you if this is the case.
We’re proud of our excellent record of service. Thousands of satisfied clients have received assessments from us, and we have never had any legal or ethical violations.
Start your evaluation with a few clicks or head to one of our local kiosks to complete the initial application. Once your assessment process is complete, your evaluator will e-mail you a report within five business days. We also offer rush service for an additional fee.
Every evaluator New Directions works with is a qualified professional who can evaluate disorders including substance abuse. Our online assessment1 services are accepted in 48 states, including California.
