Have you had your driver’s license taken away after a DUI or dangerous driving conviction? Getting a license reinstatement assessment from a professional is the first step toward having your license restored.
While we at New Directions can’t guarantee you’ll get your license back after you complete an assessment with us, we do offer convenient services that are accepted in 48 states—including California courts and the DMV.
Driver’s licenses are suspended for a variety of reasons, and California’s process for restoring your license can vary depending on what the reason for your suspension was. Make sure you understand the steps you need to take in your specific case, such as paying any fines and/or attending traffic school.
Once you’re ready to proceed with a license reinstatement evaluation, getting started with us is simple. Here’s how it works.
Register for a secure account online, call us at 1-800-671-8589, or visit one of our convenient kiosk locations to register
Complete the initial questionnaire online
Complete a 45- to 55-minute interview with one of our professional evaluators via phone or online video call
Forward any supporting documents (such as any forms required by the DMV or court) to your evaluator
Receive your report by email to review and approve before forwarding or releasing it to authorities (typically within five business days once your evaluator has received all documents—rush service is available)
*Note: Some assessments may require that your evaluator review paperwork from the court or make brief telephone contact with a character reference on your behalf.
Start your evaluation with our simple online form or head to one of our local kiosks to complete an application. After you complete the assessment process, your evaluator will e-mail you a report within five business days. We also offer rush service for an additional fee.
We’re proud of the high-quality service we provide. Thousands of satisfied clients have received online assessments1 from us, and we have never had any legal or ethical violations.
All of our evaluators are highly qualified to conduct your assessment. The services they provide are accepted by courts, probation offices, and motor vehicles departments in 48 states, including California.
